The CLI detects which agents you have installed and sets everything up automatically.

What it does

Once installed, your AI assistant will know how to:

• List connected social accounts
• Publish and schedule posts, reply on X or Threads, and create threads on X, Threads, or Mastodon
• Upload media and use it in posts
• Check post details, reschedule, and delete posts
• Apply platform-specific options (Instagram post type, TikTok privacy, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest boards)

Autonomous agents with their own terminal, such as OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, NanoClaw, Paperclip, Perplexity Computer and Grok Bot, can run the same command. On cloud agents, store DOPOST_API_KEY as a secret of the agent instead of pasting it into the chat.

Skill or MCP?

Use the hosted MCP server when your agent supports remote MCP: it signs in with OAuth and needs no key. Use the skill when the agent runs shell commands but has no MCP client, or when it needs to upload files from its own disk. Each agent's guide at dopost.co/ai-agents lists the routes it supports.

Usage

After installing, describe what you want in plain language and the agent will handle the API calls. Some examples:

"A new job offer was just posted in the database. Create a LinkedIn post announcing it — include the role, company, and a link to apply."

"Every time a blog post is published, schedule a tweet for the next morning summarizing it with the URL."

"The product just launched a new feature. Publish an Instagram reel from public/launch.mp4 and a LinkedIn post with the release notes."

"Check if my last 5 posts on Instagram were published successfully. If any failed, tell me why."

"Reschedule all pending posts from this week to next Monday at 10am."

Your agent will call the dopost API automatically using your DOPOST_API_KEY environment variable.
